Viva Espanol

So we went to Spain. Spain holds a very dear place in my heart, when doing my degree, I was lucky enough to study out there in a small northern town called Pontevedra, before traveling down south to Salamanca, Seville and up to Barcelona.
During that time away, I probably did the most growing up and thinking for myself, I will never forget the long journey there, after landing in Madrid, the auto bus took 8 hours or so to get to Pontevedra, and it was night time, travelling under the stars is always very magical, the sky was so crisp and clear.  But I remember the next day once I had got settled, walking around the town, in silence, taking everything in, it seemed so sereene, and still, calm and quiet.
a very magical time indeed and one that helped to shape the person I am today.

Since then I grew up, created a career for myself and entered merrily into parenthood.
Then this summer we went to Spain, to a quiet little fishing village called Denia. there is always something that will fascinate me about spain, that I will never be able to explain, the closet thing I could relate it to would be the feeling of the falling in love for the first time.

The architecture and street ways are beautiful, the colours, patterns and structures can leave you speechless. in their effortless beauty and style.

The lifestyle and 'way if life' was such an inspirational aspect to experience. These photos are from the a car boot we stumbled upon in the main plaza of Denia, the toys are out of this world in terms of allowing you to rekindle fond memories of your own childhood toys and memrabilia.

The Festivals and Funfairs, are amazing. The summer fiesta in Sagra, incorporate elements of the Christian and Moor Fiesta, where little shrine-like figures are created from cans and hung in the air throughout the streets.

Ice cream, sis I mentions the ridiculously wide range and selection of ice creams! OUT OF THIS WORLD.
